I have seen this happening frequently when we install some 3rd party tools related to deframent and uninstall them.

Have you uninstalled any softwares like Ultra Defragmenter, Diskeeper,Defraggler,Mydefrag or Speedefrag or anything else. May be you removed them long ago and do not remember it now.

The solution is simple.

You need to re-register the defragmenters snap-in files and  basic registry entries.

  • First open up a Cmd by typing cmd in Run prompt in start menu

  • Register the defrag components, by typing:
        regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll
        regsvr32 dfrgui.dll

These 2 are the main dll's for it.

In Windows Explorer go to your windowsinf folder.
Check for a file called dfrg.inf right click this file and select Install

Hope this helps..

Your computer are affected to the viruses so that your disk defragment could not start

Hi

This error occurs if the module dmocx.dll is missing or not registered correctly. To fix this error type this command given in the start run box:

regsvr32 c:windowssystem32dmocx.dll
