Hello expert, I am using a dell system at my home. My friend told me that the Dell PowerEdge servers support the operating system? Is it true? Also please can you explain me about dell system check server to check my PC?

Dear Gary,

From you question I think what you have at home is just a home PC and not a PowerEdge server. However, any OS that runs on your PC will run on the server but will not be able to fully maximize on the resources available on the server.

Dell power edge server support X64/ X86 architecture base operating system, Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 is compatible with dell power edge server.

Hardware specification is very model wise, so its hard to provide hardware specifications in commonly. But all dell power edge server support Microsoft Windows Server and linux server.

Press right click on my computer  on your desktop icon then select properties. Keep yours eyes on general tab then you find your hardware and operating system information. so you can compare both.
