Hello,

I was burning a DVD with Toast when I received this error, “"Couldn't complete the last command because of Mac OS Error Result code =- 5001". What does this mean?

And how do I fix it?

Thank you so much for your time.

Most of the times, when this problem occur, the problem is with the disk that you are using. In that case, the optical drive’s firmware might not be compatible with the particular brand of disk that you are using. But you can still try burning with the same brand of disk you are using now but instead of clicking the burn button, try the Save Disk as Image button.

Sometimes, it works. But if it don’t, then you can try to burn it with another brand of disk. Also, there are times when the issue is with the slot-drives, so if your machine is kinda old, you can purchase an external slot drive to use in burning.

I hope this helps.
