Good day,

Does anyone know what's the meaning of this message?

I have the same message in a week now. Every time I open my computer this is the first thing I would see. I don't know what it is but if I click OK it work fine, it seems normal. Is there something I should worry about?

Cannot find CSRCS.exe start-up message

It seems your machine recently recovered from virus. Anyway try this.

1) Open Run > cmd > regedit

2) Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftwi… NTCurrent VersionWinlogon

3) In right window click on shell. There will be something like below

Explorer.exe,"c:systemcsrss.exe"

4) If it is so, remove the "C:System32csrss.exe"

5) You have done. Restart your system.

This happened because your Antivirus caught a virus, deleted it, but Antivirus couldn’t delete the path of infected file. You can even manually remove it from startup of your system. To do so follow the steps:

1) Click on Start Menu.

2) Hit Run.

3) In the Run dialog box type “msconfig”.

System configuration utility” window will appear, select “startup” tab.

4) “System configuration utility” window will appear, select “startup” tab.

5) Now search for csrss.exe and uncheck the check box related to that file.

6) Click Apply and OK.

Hope it works!
