Hello,

I just updated to the latest Adobe Flash Player and encountered the following error message “COM returned an unexpected error code”. I extremely need your assistance to fix this issue ASAP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

COM returned an unexpected error

Hey Mr.Eddy,

The error seems to be coming from your speech recognition software ‘Dragon naturally7 speaking’. This is a common error faced by users who also have adobe reader 10.0.0 installed.

Check your version by going to help    then ‘about adobe reader’.

You will find version details at the bottom. If its 10.0.0, you need to update to the latest.

Help> Check for updates.

If this does not help you must turn off protected mode in adobe:

1.Edit 2.Preferences 3.General  4.Deselect Enable Protected Mode at startup.

If this also doesn’t help, then you can try using adobe 9 or use Nuance’s (the company responsible for dragon software) free pdf reader.
