I am trying to disable my Flash Player but Chrome is not detecting it. I went to chrome://plugins but there is no flash players installed. I also tried to install other flash player but it is also not showing. I don't really have an idea what is causing this. My Chrome is Version 42.0.2311.50 beta-m (64-bit), any idea how to fix this?

Chrome browser not detecting other flash players

Hi Margarete!

If you already downloaded the necessary plugins for your flash player and if you cannot find it in your list, please try to do the following steps.

1.       Type this to your address bar “chrome: //chrome/settings/”.

Look for Advanced Settings Link and click it for other options under this.

2.       Select or click the “Clear browsing data…” button. Tick/Select the “Empty Cache” and “Delete cookies” than click the “Clear Browsing data…”

3.       Restart your Chrome. Even better if you will restart your system.

Once done with the reboot process, check again “chrome: //plugins” again and check if it will appear in the list of installed plugins. If you cannot find the best option is to uninstall your Google chrome and reinstall again. Download or update the flash player again. Major cause of this problem is conflict with the software of hardware we just installed. Also virus will prevent us from having a good running software. Last we must perform daily routine or perform regular update with your software.
