Ive been planning to change the icon of my folders so that I could easily locate it.
I need this to be done so that I can determined directly where my folder is from other folders.
What steps should I do to change the icon?

Changing the icon of the folder can indeed help us locate the folder easily!
Here are the steps to change the folder icon:
1. Put the cursor on the folder you want the icon to change and then right click.
2. Choose Properties. This will open a window for settings: General, sharing, Security and Customize
3. Click on the Customize tab.Â
4. Click on Change Icon button. This will open a pop-up window loaded with different icons that you could choose from. Â
5. Once you have chosen you preferred icon, press on the OK button and then the Apply button.
You will instantaneously see that icon of your folder has been changed!

Following these steps: right-click on your folder > properties > [tab] Customize > click Change Icon… button > choose new icon for your folder. If you do not like any icon on this screen, you can download icon files from the Internet, and click Browse button here to locate your downloaded files. > click OK (twice)
If you want to come back to default icon someday, right-click on your folder > properties > [tab] Customize > click Change Icon… button > click Restore Default button > click OK
