Dear Whopperman,

CCleaner, which was known as Crap Cleaner earlier was developed by Piriform, is a Utility program. It is used to clean potentially unwanted files and invalid Windows Registry entries from an operating system.

The below mentioned step should be followed in sequence to get past the issue.

Step 1:

Start CCleaner64 to clear the unwanted files. However while doing so uncheck the below mentioned entries.

  1. Firefox Internet history or IE internet history.
  2. windows log files entry.
  3. Filekey 14 in "Windows Log file" (winsys).

Unchecking these option might eliminate the crash. If the Step 1 fails, then move to Step 2.

Step 2:  Uninstall the application from the Add/Remove Program and then reinstall the same.
