CATALYST Install Manger has stopped working

Asked By 200 points N/A Posted on -

I have running operating system Windows Vista. I had problems while installing the latest versions of the Catalyst Control Center the past 6 months, I don’t know what is meant by this error :

Microsoft Windows

CATALYST Install Manger has stopped working

Windows can check online for a solution to the problem

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name:     APPCRASH

Application Name:           InstallManagerApp.exe

Application Version:        3.0.708.0

Application Timestamp:  496d5b4f

Fault Module Name:        ntdll.dll

Fault Module Version:     6.0.6001.18000

Fault Module Timestamp:  4791adec

Exception Code:             c0000005

Exception Offset:            0000000000009409

So, does anyone at ATI have Vista 64 and found this error? Where is the problem with my laptop? I checked the version of C++ Re-distributable, but I got nothing. I clicked on "Check online for a solution and close the program", but I did not find any solution for the error. When I clicked on "close the program", the program closed and nothing happens.

So any help please?

AMD requires Visual C++ and .NET framework and you are using the wrong update version of Visual C++.I will give you the files you need to download.

  • Download Windows Installer. You cannot install Visual C++ Redist 2008 sp1 (x64) if you do not have updated Windows Installer. WindowsInstaller-KB884016-v2-x86.exe: Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package
  • Install Windows Installer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Download Visual C++ Redist 2008 sp1 (x64) from the above link.
  • Install Visual C++ Redist 2008 sp1 (x64).
  • Restart your computer
  • Download Microsoft .NET FrameWork 2.0 64
  • Restart your computer.
  • Download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
  • Install Microsoft .NET FrameWork 3.5.
  • Restart your computer
  • Install CATALYST Install Manger.
  • Now you can customize your GPU settings.
