I have DAEMON Tools Lite v4.40.2 (with SPTD 1.76) installed on my Windows XP Service Pack 3 running on a 32 bit machine. I get an error when I try run the program. I have already tried to update the application to the latest version. I also reinstalled it several times. I totally removed all of its components including registry keys. Then did a clean install. These are the suggestions I found on Google. Unfortunately, none of this actually helps resolve the problem. Now I am trying my luck to get a solution form you guys.Â

You are using an older version of DAEMON Tools Lite. The website where I found this version doesn’t say anything about the required Service Pack that Windows XP should be using to be able to install it that’s why it is hard to determine if it’s a system compatibility issue or not. But since this version already doesn’t work on your machine, try uninstalling it then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.
Since it is an older version, try upgrading it to DAEMON Tools Lite 4.45.4. Download this version by visiting https://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite. This version supports Windows 98 32-bit, Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 32-bit, Windows XP Service Pack 2 64-bit, Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows Server 2008 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, and Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.
If this version and the version you installed on your computer has the same system specifications you should check if your Windows XP is a 32-bit. If it’s not and it’s the 64-bit version then that’s what’s causing the problem. Just install the appropriate version of Windows XP by checking the information above to make this application work.
