For adding sound in your PowerPoint presentation you have to follow the steps.

  1. Firstly you have to Click the slide that you want to add a sound too.
  2. Then on the Insert tab, in the Media Clips group, click the drop-down arrow under Sound, and then click Sound from File.
Media Clips group, click the drop-down arrow under Sound
  1. Finally locate the folder that contains the sound files that you just deleted, and then double-click the file that you want to add.

Note : To add multiple sounds, repeat this process for each slide that contains sound files that you want to add.

May be you are just not using the right procedure to insert the audio files and that is why you are not able to embed them to Ms PowerPoint. Or if you have tried and failed, it would have been better if you could have posted the error message that you are getting when you try to.

You first need to make sure that you have saved your audio file in the mp3 format, and then use the procedure below to embed it:

  • You will need to open Microsoft Office PowerPoint and then click on the Insert tab.
  • Next click on Add Sound from File, and select the audio file option as shown it the image below.
Add Sound from File, and select the audio file option
  • The Sound Tools tab will be opened.
  • From there, you will locate Sound Options and then increase the maximum size of audio file that can be embedded to about 50000 KB.

It is that simple, you will have successfully embedded your audio file in Ms PowerPoint.
