Hi there,
When I tried to connect to Virtual Server in Hyper V Server, I was unable to connect and was not able to open it.
Â
The issue disappeared after the system was restarted, but after a few days I saw the annoying message as given below
Â
Â
Â
The error being "Cannot connect to the Virtual machine. Try to connect again.
Â
If the problem persists, contact your administrator."  "Would you like to try connecting again ?"
Â
Any assistance will be highly appreciated.
Â
Cheers,
Chris
Cannot connect to the Virtual machine. Try to connect again
Hello Chris,
The following workarounds should help you:
Solution 1:
-
You will need to try rebooting the Hyper-V host computer.
-
If after that the issue still continues, you will need to navigate to the Event Viewer and check whether there could be problems associated with Hyper-V.
Solution 2:
In the event that you are running the core installation of the Windows Server 2008 using Hyper-V, you will need to manage it using the client computer using complete installation as well as Hyper-V manager tool that is installed on your computer. The best method in that case will be to add the Hyper-V host computer as well as the client computer in the same domain. Make sure that the domain user you use is part of a local admin group on the Hyper-V host machine.

Carl
