Can’t Access VMRC to MS Virtual Server 2005

Hi,

After I have changed the titles and shutdown the server, I can no longer access the servers via VMRC or even access or edit the Master Status using virtual server admin. It looks like after I changed the names, it all becomes disoriented.

How can I solve such problems?

First you should check if the path for specific server is correct. It’s recommended to use staticIP. Then you should check security settings in your browser, maybe these are preventing Master Status page from loading. If you are using IE you should check Auto Logon Settings, it should be set to Automatic Logon Only in Intranet Zone. Virtual server web page should be added to the list of trusted Intranet sites. Is there a possibility that you have typed wrong credentials?

Check your firewall settings too. It’s recommended to disable simple file sharing on the Windows XP hosts, if it’s turned on it prevents users to authenticate as an admin, only authentication as a guest is enabled. Or you can simply add a new user account on the server with admin privileges, then you should be able to use it.
