There are certain webpages which are distracting and contains a virus. There are also some sites which are not of my interest. How can I block certain websites from my computer?
Method 1- Using Internet Explorer.
Step 1: Open the Internet Explorer.
Step 2: Select on Tools.
Step 3: Click on Internet Options.
Step 4: Select the Privacy tab, then click on sites.
Step 5: Enter the site address that you want to block.
Step 6: Click OK.
Method 2- Using Windows
Step 1: Search C: drive after opening My Computer.
Step 2: First click on System 32, then drivers and then, etc. In etc. folder look for a file whose name is Hosts.
Step 3: Using Notepad, open Hosts file.
Step 4: Scroll till the end.
Step 5: Enter to bring a new line at the bottom.
Step 6: Type "127.0.0.1," and then the website URL to block it. Add more like this.
Step 7: Click on File and then Save.
