Back up files via DVD or CD
Hello Maurice,
Nice question. You mean to backup the data you have on CD/DVD. So you need a burner to backup the data.
First of all, be sure that you have got DVD writer.
-
Go to Start menu >> Run >> type “devmgmt.msc” and hit enter.
-
Expand the CD/DVD drive and see if the driver contains any of these codes:
“CD-R, CD+_RW, DVD, DVD+_RW, DVD+_RW DL”
Then, buy a blank CD/DVD. Input it into the drive.
-
Go to Start menu >> Run >> type “cmd” and hit enter.
-
Check the disk drive letter.
-
Type the following command and press enter: “ format x:”
Where X: is the drive letter.
Then, browse the files from your HDD and copy that. Then, open the CD DRIVE and paste there. It will be burnt to the disk.
Also you can use ImgBurn. It is a nice software for burning any data on disk.
