Avira Can’t Apply the Change of Configuration

Hi there,

I am the only user of my PC and I have all the administrator rights but I have this error when I want to change some settings in Avira. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem with my antivirus ? How can I get the permission to access the items ?

Avira Can’t Apply the Change of Configuration

Hello,

Such issue isn’t uncommon if you’re running out of permission to access any path on your system. Its system’s UAC that keeps such operation maintained and only allows users to access the paths only they’re allowed to. In order to perform the task, you have to run Avira in administrative mode.

Quit Avira. Right-click on the launcher, select “Run as administrator”. This will give the program allow access to everywhere from your user account.

Now, your problem should go away.
