What are some of their unique features of these apps and do these apps too share something in common in terms of features and their user friendly? The world is a technological hub, and for the blind or visually impaired, the iDevice is opening up a whole new world.  There are a few websites that offer amazing apps for blind and visually impaired people.

Below is a list of the apps that I would say are the best to use:

1. Ariadne GPS developed by Giovanni Ciaffoni

This app allows you to travel the world (via its talking functionality) by moving your finger around the map.  For instance, crossing a street is motioned by a vibration.  It also has a feature where you can add your favourite locations and also tell you bus stops and train stations.  This GPS app works anywhere where Google Maps are available.

 

2. Evernote developed by Evernote

This app allows users to save voice notes, photographs and text messages so that they can retrieved on any device.  This app has a VoiceOver support, which reads messages.
