Application Identity Service Windows 7 Stopped Working

I recently started getting a few error messages here and there whenever I tried to install anything on my computer or when I tried to install Windows updates. After some research, I came to realize that my application identity service Windows 7 has stopped working. How do I start this again?

Application Identity Service Windows 7 Stopped Working

This service serves the purpose of identifying applications on the computer. You can start or stop this service manually on Windows 7. I would advise you to keep this service enabled.
To enable this service, go to the start menu and search services.msc. Find application identity and double-click to make changes. In the general tab, you will find different startup options for the service. Change it from manual to auto or disable if you want to stop the service completely. Click okay to complete the process.
