I was trying to install a software product named: bluestacks through it .msi file, I have a slow internet connection so the download task has been done from anywhere else. It goes up to "Preserving BlueStacks User Data", and then faced the following error:

BlueStacks Install Wizard

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330

I acquired this msi file from many sources and tried to install them on different computers, and faced the same error message every time. Please anyone tell me about the exact downloading URL as well as the remedy against the above error. Where, I have a Sony VAIO VGN-Z26GN running Windows 7 Professional (x86) operating system.

Please help me out of this issue ASAP.

Hi David,

Actually, downloading the MSI Package Installer for BlueStacks and installing it is not a good option as BlueStacks does not offer whole Installation packages from its website. Naturally, it's possible that your BlueStacks Installer contains an error. 

So, I would recommend you to download and install BlueStacks from its Official Website rather than other sources, as this minimizes the risk of errors during installation.

 Error Code 2330 normally occur from different computer because of incomplete or corrupt registry files. Other possible causes could be ActiveX errors, nasty spyware or malware. This problem can lead to other system errors or even total system failure.You can prevent this kind of errors by regularly maintaining your system.

The error code 2330 is normally due to incomplete and corrupted register files. After uninstalling programs, Windows leave behind files causing clutter in your computer's registry. To solve this problem, you should maintain your computer using a registry cleaner or you can manually remove references to Bluestacks if there are in your registry.

If cleaning registry does not work, try to uninstall any programs that you installed before bluestacks. You can go to Control Panel, under Add/Remove programs menu to uninstall or use a third party uninstall utilities such as Your Installer, http://www.ursoftware.com/ to completely remove any programs together with their register files.
