Apple cloud computing system problems shared phone’s directory

I share an Apple computer with my spouse and we are up to date with programs especially our operating system. Though we use the same machine, we still have different account for media player programs and email account. However, we found that the directory of the other is visible to both our phones.

We think the cloud computing application automatically integrated contacts from our devices, and shared all data to the two separate phones.

Is this really what happens when you use this cloud computing application?

From Apple Inc. this is still not clear that how they will manage multiple Apple IDs. As per my understanding and opinion Apple should allow this. Having said above the latest iOS 5 beta features the iCloud and Store settings item. The iCloud handle the email, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, reminders, photos, calendars and my iPad find.  This also handles storage and backup.

The store settings cover Music and apps. So this seems possible to use on Apple ID for media and other for database. In this way you and your spouse can use single ID for media and other for data.
