Hello Marfhux,

Read only file stands by its word itself, cannot be deleted, edit and or add files. This is to protect the file saved by the users but this doesn’t mean, the file cannot be deleted.

Here’s how to and the workaround;

  • An Administrator Log-in is needed in your computer.
  • Look for that file and do Right Click and properties, uncheck read-only box and there you go.
Another step is/are followed;

  • Go to System Registry editor.
  • Look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer.
  • Edit menu, to go New and click DWORD value and type UseSystemForsystemFolders.
  • Right click the new value and Modify.
  • Close the Registry Editor.
This should take care of it.

Protect the file saved by the users but can be deleted.
