I would like to know if flood virus script is just a traditional virus or a script problem? How does this program works and what are the possible effects of this. Is there any available antidote or antivirus for this?

Flood is not a traditional virus; it is a script type of virus. It is a subset of file viruses that can infect other scripts and file formats such as HTML.  Flood virus works by injecting a script language to signatures of users when they post in a public group such as in news and forums. The script virus will perform an action immediately after other users open or read such message.  New comments from other users will automatically be posted with the same infectious signature.

AVG antivirus can detect and remove files affected by flood virus.  If it does not work or you do not have an antivirus, make sure to find and delete the file.

Hello Brian,

That is an indication of the presence of a virus on your computer, and therefore you will need to do a thorough scan of your computer to find any viruses and malware on your computer and then remove them completely. Make sure that the antivirus you have on the computer is up to date.

Regards,

Nicke
