Anonymity in IRC – IRC Bouncer

I use IRC a lot. But I think it isn't safe because all users can see your ip address any time. I tried to connect with free proxies but I couldn't because i kept taking messages that my ip had trojans or something. I read several articles about anonymity in IRC and I tried several commands in XChat to hide my ip but nothing worked. So I read that I can use bouncer to stay anonymous in IRC. I tried ZNC that is free but didn't work. Can you explain to me how can I use a bouncer? Also, do you know any free bouncers that I can use?

Anonymity in IRC – IRC Bouncer

Actually bouncers are of no use to you if your IP is considered to be containing a malicious software. Because in this case, the bouncers will also detect it and will not work properly. Your best bet is to use different proxy servers.

1. Find any best proxy server from the internet.
2. Open up the settings of your web browser and go to proxy settings.
3. Enter the manual proxy which you searched over the internet.
4. Once done, save the settings and restart the router.
5. You can also try downloading HideMyAss software but it might not work for you but you should give it a try. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, then there is an add-on for this software.
