I have Android, when I try to set up a connection to my web hosts SMTP (Simple Mail Transmission Protocol) Server using IMAP, an error is disturbing that stated; Unable to open connection to server.

I tried my best by changing the ports but in vain.

Anyone have any clue why this is happening?

Setup could not finish

unable to open connection to server

Kindly, help me regarding this matter.

Try this instead.

Simply remove the mobile device that you're currently having issues with from the users mailboxes. Then take off the default  plus other 'ActiveSync policy' by utilizing > (EMC -- Remove-ActiveSyncMailboxPolicy -id ;). Then set users to 'no activesync policy'. The next step is to set up the phone to sync. Just let it finish the initial phase. Now you need to repeat the 'ActiveSync Policy' and take it to its default in order for it to work.

Or if you're done with that part, try to verify if your webhost can support SSL encryption. If it doesn't, simply turn it off.

Hope this will help.
