Hi there,

I am trying to access Computer Active CD Rom 2 but have been denied. It says that I need to install reader 4. When I attempted to install it gets as far as unpacking the files then nothing, it just stops.  I have tried it with different versions of the program and on different operating systems, but the same thing occurs.. The CD is fine, I know this because it works fine on a mate´s PC.  The only difference is that he has an older version of adobe. I don´t want to uninstall older versions of adobe is there a way I can fix this?

If you haven't tried this already, this is a good place to start; Click Start, choose Help and Support and type in Repair Acrobat Installation or Repair Reader Installation, press Enter.

Numerous  versions of Reader or Acrobat  is not supported by Adobe on the same computer, and it is not recommended to have both Acrobat and Reader on the same computer.

Depending on which version of Windows is on you computer, do the following:

For Windows Vista – Click Start, Control Panel, Programs, then Programs and Features.
For XP – Choose Start, Control Panel, and double-click Add Or Remove Programs.
For Windows 7 – Click Start, Control Panel, Programs, then Programs and Features.
Reader or Acrobat, then click the removal option or uninstall the Program.
Use this process for the Window's program that is on your computer.
Lastly,  restart your computer and reinstall Reader or Acrobat.

If this fails, you may want to uninstall your antivirus program and try to install the Computer Active CD Rom 2 again. Whether this helps or not, be sure to reinstall your antivirus.
