Hello experts

I have found a problem with the I/O read error.

I am using Vista SP2 as well as I have a latest 2 TB Seagate hard disc installed feeling that Acronis likely the most excellent backup software as Seagate utilizes it to move OS and files from the previous drive to the fresh one.

It worked very well. I setup Acronis True Image Home 2012 on my PC and laptop. Yet I haven't created a backup.

I read analysis of the dissimilar software for backup as well as Acronis was charged as #1 as a result I didn't wait for problems.

It seems as though quite a few people are having this problem.

Acronis Tune Image Home

Failed to read data from the disk.

Failed to read from sector '-1,656,263832' of hard disk'1'. Failed to read the snapshot
manager drive. (0x1000D7) Unknown status. (0x9) The request could not be performed
because of an I/O device (0xFFF0)

                                             Retry   Ignore   Ignore All   Cancel

Please help me to solve it.

Thanks a lot.

Hello Kurt,

The error you are getting depends on the NAS configuration of your computer. There is no particular solution for that issue. That is because there no singular configuration scheme for the NASes. Each NAS is usually configured in it particular way. Do the one of the following to resolve the issue you are getting:

  • You will need to check the connection to the NAS, and well reboot the Acronis True Image Home.
  • While choosing the destination for the backup, you will need to locate the NAS on the directory tree under Network, and then you will choose it as a network share.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
