Windows OS
I have got Windows 8.1 recently and i work with bluetooth headset and bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Obviously i need to connect the small Bluetooth piece to laptop’s USB drive. Whenever i put laptop into sleep mode and try removing the bluetooth piece, it simply wakes my laptop up. It is very much irritating to again wait foe windows to load, login and then put it back to sleep mode again? Is there a way to disable th disconnection activity to trigger the laptop to wakeup. Thanks a lot for tour suggestions in advance

I want to automate changing the repeat interval of keys. Presently I am doing it on login every time. But it goes back to default and hence I have to set it on next time log in. Which is the registry in the system which holds the value of repeat rate? Can I change the registry key using some kind of C program? Do I need to also use batch file to run automatically on startup and change the keys repeat rate? Are there any other precautions I have to take while manually editing the registry? Can I edit text file present in HKCU/Control Panel/Keyboard to update the new value and commit? Is there any simpler ways of doing this?

I have to know is there a way to have control over the update feature in the latest windows 8.1 operating system. Main reason to look for this is that the my data bill is more this time. Iy is around 10 times more than what I used to get other month. My friend had connected his laptop to my internet when he had visited me last week and I strongly believe it has downloaded all the updates! Next time, first I would disable it and then allow internet access. Thanks for sharing. I have Assembled desktop with windows XP running and had never given this shock.

I have this personal experience of speeds. I bought the laptop which came with windows 7 basic home edition. I got used to it and it was innovative, smart and stylishly good to see. But it was slow, booting was taking about 30 to 40 seconds but I got used to it. Remember that four colorful windows come together and slowly show some animation? Now I have got windows 8 in it and surprisingly windows 8.1 is fast. Now, laptop boots with in 8-10 seconds. Is it that efficient? Or over a period of time this slows down? Whatever, the speed is really exciting.

My sister lives in abroad and I frequently guide her with respect to software installations and documentaries. I always used Team viewer software and was able to see what’s going on there. Also, I was able to control the PC. Still I had tried to remote login using mstsc application in windows but for no success. Can anybody tell me what are thing that has to be setup in place in the computer settings so that a person can do remote login? Also, only I should be able to login from my PC only. How to set up that? What are the safety features to be followed? Please reply

The PC I use has seen multiple OS starting from windows 7 to windows 8.1. The performance good and has never given any problems. I know there is a feature called disk defragmenter which helps in keeping memory contents together (I hope). I need your help in knowing whether this tool is now obsolete or is it really required to run manually. Does the OS runs this app regularly? I have never run this application. So, just want to know if this is something we can ignore because the OS is smart or still this is classic way to do manually

How was the performance as an OS compared to standard bench marks? Were the fire wall and internet safety features were more sophisticated? Can anybody compare the pros and cons of the windows operating systems? I have been using Windows since 2000 and gave always amazed to see that there is substitute for window OS. Thanks for your help in advance.
