I have been using a desktop pc since 2005. I have an old Samsung monitor which came with that pc. I always wanted to change that monitor with a LCD monitor. Recently I have bought a LCD TV. But it doesn’t have any VGA import jack through which I can connect my pc with the LCD TV.

I hope all are quite well. I have got a problem with my motherboard. It’s an old p4 motherboard. It doesn’t have any SATA jack except ID HDD cable jack. I have been using a 120 gigabyte Hard Disk for a long time.

It’s a very short space for my recent works. I have a habit of keeping so many songs, videos, software and other important things in by Hard disk. But this short space does not provide me enough space to keep those things.

I have got a problem while installing the Windows XP on my desktop pc. I have already tried for three times. But I was failed to setup it. I have gotten the following errors.

1. Fatal error installation failed:d:1386asms

2. One of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.

3. The parameter is incorrect.

4. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

I don’t know anything about these errors. Could anybody explain me about these errors and how to get rid of these problems?

I am having a big trouble with my PC. I am seeking for some help from here. My PC is not booting at the same time while I am pressing the CPU power button. It begins to start approximately after 20 minutes. What a peculiar problem it is. Moreover, sometimes it hangs on the first screen (boot time).

To get rid of this problem I opened the CPU and changed the CMOS battery. But I found nothing special. Then I changed my ID cables and power supply. No change. I did not know where the problem was. Please anybody help me in this regard. I will be very pleased after getting the solution. My computer's configuration is (Processor 2.26, Gigabyte 81845GE-RZ motherboard, 256 MB Ram, 80 GB hard disk).

I have tried many things including RegCure, Registry cleaner, system mechanics and other error fixing programs. I also ran a defragmentation on the total hard disk.

I have a desktop PC. I have installed NFS Most Wanted game on my PC, but when I play it, approximately after 25 minutes the game closes automatically and my PC displays a note that 'Your System's Virtual Memory is Low'. I don’t know why it is happening to my PC. As far I know that my PC covers all the requirement of that game.

I don’t know what is happening to my PC. When my PC starts, I get nothing on the desktop screen. As far I know that there were a lot of files and icons on my desktop which I have been keeping from the last month, but at present there are no icons, no task bar, no start menu, nothing, just a blank screen with the wallpaper which I set for the last time.

I am trying to get any sort of icons by clicking right/ left, but nothing is happening. Then I restart the PC for several times by pressing the reset button, but I get on icons and taskbar on the desktop. There were some important files on my desktop. I will be in a big trouble, if I fail to recollect them. Can anyone help me?

I made some partitions at the time of installing the new Vista first. After some days, when i tried to install Windows XP service pack 2, it was showing an error like, "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct.

This may involve running a manufacturer – supplied diagnostic or setup program. Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3”. Can anybody explain me the problem and give me a solution.
