I am encountering this error:

"The file 'Asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed."

I am currently installing Windows XP on my computer and I am seeing the error above. I would like to know, why this error is coming up. I am only just beginning to install and seems like there are issues already.

Please help me even make it to loading of Windows.

I used StarterBackgroundChanger few months and then I made an "upgrade" from Starter to Home Premium, although StarterBackgroundChanger is uninstalled,i face the following problem.

Impossible to apply the funds of the themes for Win7.Only changes the color of the Aero ,whenI go from one theme to another. The changes that I request are properly validated,have not taken into account.

What can I do?

I have Vista 64-bit operating system on my Acer laptop. I installed Windows 7 in the second system, to verify the compatibility of the programs I use vista. I am now fully satisfied with W7, How can I do to uninstall vista properly?

Can I just format the vista partition while using W7?
Should I then change the boot startup to avoid having to make the choice of the system?

I used various programs to create my USB stick and various versions of Windows …
My problem occurs when I select the boot on the USB key, loading the drivers install of XP working properly …
then blue screen and goes no further ….

This is my little problem: I want to install Ubuntu in a dual boot with W7. I had a partition, not formatted to 25 GB. I had booked for Linux.

I've been using CCleaner for cleaning my internet history and for fixing my registry for a long time now. While running it, it reminds me that I need an update to a newer version.

So I downloaded version 3.07.1457 from version 3.05.1409. After downloading, while in a state of installing it to my computer, after clicking next button, it installs for about 12% of the update then gets an error from CCleaner Setup. The error is;

Error opening file for writing:

C:ProgramFilesCCleanerCCleaner.exe

I have a team (equipment) of basic window with 600 MHz processor. The operating system is Windows XP with 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB of my hard disk. I am using a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570.

I have Windows XP Home running without problems for few months now. But lately, I have been receiving error 1816 with content Not enough quota is available to process this command. This usually appears when I run some application on my computer like Internet Explorer 7, Google Chrome, Windows Media Player 11, etc…

Most especially when you run an application ,then open another application instantly. This is my computer specifications;

I have a computer which has been giving me problems for some time. Some times when it is turned on, it works fine. At other times before the Operating system can finish loading, it displays a message that says, "No hard drive detected."

Since I have taken the hard drive out and tried it in another system, it works fine. I've even replaced the ribbon cables connecting the hard drive to the motherboard, and even inserting a new hard drive.

However this yielded the same result.

Please suggest.

This only happens in Microsoft word and I have windows vista. When I type certain punctuation other symbols are entered, for example:
