Windows XP how can I clear the search history? When I search files in my machine the typed search is saved for future use. But I want to clear that How can I clear it? Not Internet Explorer rather the windows explorer.

What is a hosts file in windows XP I have seen people putting some content into the hosts file and removing it.

Why do we use it and what's the use?

The file that's in Drivers/etc folder.

I want to know how will I be able to set-up my full settings of my laptop (full settings is equal – Windows XP 3, office-2007, adobe Photoshop, adobe illustrator, acrobat reader, yahoo messenger, Skype messenger, team viewer, tally .erp, Google earth, Kaspersky, Google chrome, Macromedia Dreamweaver etc. all software are installed in my laptop) into my new and fresh pc not separate installation process.

I usually had a wall paper image as my desktop background. However, after I had encountered an error in the internet explore when I was browsing the internet which had caused me to forcibly shutdown/reboot my computer, I had noticed that my desktop background was turned to white with “Active Desktop Recovery” caption and a button which says “Restore my Active Desktop”. I tried to click the button, but a message window which will prompt you to “Run” or “Not to Run” a certain script will appear. I had tried both options, but still no to avail.

I am using Windows XP Professional.

I update it regularly. Updates are installed automatically daily. Today when I started my PC  I face an error: “You may be a victim of counterfeiting” or “Your software is counterfeit” and This copy of Windows Is Not Genuine. What’s going on?

I  cannot understand. I have visited Microsoft help site to solve this trouble but I  found no proper help there…

Hey, I am Windows XP user. I setup a game last week.

It is compatible with my Computer to play! I setup the game and it requires the CD inside the PC to play the game.

I made a solution for CD using Daemon tools.

I made a image of the CD as a .iso file. But the problem is .iso file isn't moving or deleting.

I tried a hundred times to move or delete the file.

As it's on a important drive i can't even re-partition it. Is there any solution?

Please i need help immediately..!

I use windows picture and fax viewer default software for JPEG.

But now I have a problem about it.

When I click any JPEG to view by windows picture and fax viewer then it open only 2-3 seconds and closed automatically.

Why it will close automatically?
