I possess a lot of files to be moved. I want to copy the files from my external hard drive. Copying is really a long process, it's only 1 MB / S even though it already wears a Teracopy. I'm thinking about what affects the copy process? Whereas before the copy process is fast at 15-20Mbps.

What is wrong with my computer?

I had a problem while copying some movies in my computer to my cousins USB mass storage because he can't watch the full movie, only the first 20 minutes of it. So he tried copying other movies from other computers to his USB and it works fine.

I think there is a problem with my computer that seems to limit others when copying files from it. This already occurred twice to me with another USB. So I think I’m the one with the problem not the USB.

Does somebody have an idea on what could be the problem in copying files from my computer.

I am using a portable hard drive (Seagate 1 TB). It works normally and shows flashing lights during its operation. But I am facing a problem that whenever I connect it to a computer running on Windows XP (SP2 and try new SP3), it is not readable.

My computer also showed as a local disk (G:) and auto run exists. But when I click on the hard drive a message appears that “it is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable”.

It shows no problem when I connect it to computer with OS Windows 7.

Please help me to recover my data on the hard drive.

All I want to ask is this. Yesterday, I managed to install Windows 7 on a portable hard drive. So the problem here is that, I want to try to open the windows in the hard drive of another computer. But it cannot open the windows when it was in its boot through a portable hard drive.  However, it can be opened if it's in my computer.

What is the solution?

In my hard drive, 1 (T). I put together a hard disk just for a collection of games and movies. 2 partitions which include 1 movie (E) 1 game (F) Just now, I wanted to make it to the disk management partition

But it suddenly turns into an error, with partition (E). How do I restore the partition? I do not want it formatted because of my collection. Thank you for the ones who want to help me.

My USB device is not working properly. It causes some error while formatting, seems like it had bad sectors? How can I low-level-format my USB?

Will this help removing bad sectors from it? Also, how can I define sector size during formatting?

How does the hard disk get affected, when the data is being written and the laptop goes to sleep (by closing lid)? Will it simply stop the process or will it result in damaging the hard drive(bad sector or any similar problem?

I have a Samsung with 500 GB sata hard disk drive. Last month, I formatted my D drive because of some crashed problems. On this drive, I have a very important data but I lost it after formatting the D drive. Now, I need to recover this data from my formatted drive.

Please tell me how I can recover my important data without using money.

I usually connect my phone via USB cord and automatically get it without ejecting properly. Recently when I connected my phone, the computer detected that there were problems with my file and it needs to be scanned and fixed. So I did, but after doing this, some of the files in my phone were gone.

My USB Device is disconnected and reattached. Duplicate name appears on the device manager. What do you think is the solution for this? Does the firmware of the device need to be updated? or is the device corrupt or bad?
