Hi everyone,

I’m using After Effects CS5 on Mac OS and the trouble seems to be file importing. Last time I tried to do so an error messages pops-out saying

“After Effects error : file ‘Volumes’ cannot be imported – folder contains no files.” 

Any idea on what could be causing this?

My troubles begin with Avid DS after I try to output to tape. This isn’t the first time this sort of error appears to me but last time I somehow got rid of it and now it keeps annoying me. The message I get looks like this:

“Avid DS

Lower Hal could not be created.”

I can click the ok button or close it but it closes the whole thing either way. What should I do? Please help, thanks.

Hey, I’m having trouble with Avid DS 10.3.1. I’m new at this so please try to be specific with the explanation and I hope I’ll be able to explain it good enough. The problem itself occurs after trying to capture an image of Quick Time it’s impossible to import it. The error I’m getting is:

“Avid DS

One or more errors were detected while importing ‘AD_Featurette_SvsR_Txtlss_PFHA’. Any media successfully captured so far will be kept.”

I would be very grateful for any help I could get.

How can I make an established power rations on using different software applications like AutoCAD, Word Processing, Spread Sheets when they are active or in use.

This is my problem: when I try to run After Effects CS5 on my Mac the following message appears on the screen: “After Effects warning: Unknow exception.”

It’s impossible to get rid of and when I try with OK I get nowhere, the application just won’t start up at all.

If someone can tell me what have I done to get into this mess please post here.

I’m having trouble with compressing an iMovie made file that I spent a lot of time trying to complete.

The process begins just fine but it seems to brake in the middle and gives me a failure message that goes like this:

A File Compression Error Occurred. The movie could not be properly compressed. The movie may contain some data that is invalid for the type of compression selected

Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this one?

How can I create a password protected Zip file in Unix and send it in email using Unix Script? When I tried the Zip – P, it gave me an error that the encryption was not supported. All I want is to provide a password in command line so I can use the script to zip the file and send it via email.

I have been using One Note 2003 on my PC. However, some of the files attached does not automatically open when clicked. What happens is the window pops up and asks what file to open. I chose One Note 2003 and tired clicked on the box that said “Always used selected program to open files of this type.”  The box cannot be ticked, so each time I open a similar type of file I have to keep on choosing One Note.  Please help me.
