I have an external seagate 500 GB HDD, but last night, I got some trouble with it. Windows is showing that the disk drive is not accessible. It got some I/O device error.

Yesterday morning, I washed my jeans and forgot my USB pen drive in it. How stupid I am. I dried it with my hair drier and connected it to my computer. Unfortunately, it is not working.

I was asked to format the drive but I am worried about my important data on it. Is there any process to get my data back?

I had a pen drive and my brother borrowed it. He told me that he accidentally deleted the attorney. info inside the drive. When he tried to open it again, error message saying , "G: Application not found.".

Is there any way we can download the autorun. Inf? And by the way, can I still retrieve my important files inside that drive?

I have a Micro SD card of 8 GB. It has a lot of content which I had stored there. It was about 4 GB. But now it has started giving error messages saying the memory is full. In addition, most of the files are now having "a question mark" instead of the real file icon. When I tried to open it, it tells me that the format is not supported. I am doing all these on my phone. What should I do to avoid losing more data.

Are these problems repairable?

I have this problem where I often encountered "Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device Error". I have experienced this quite often when I'm using my Portable Hard Disk or any other Storage Devices. I tried to close every program that accesses my Hard Disk, I even tried to use the Task Manager using Ctrl+Alt+Delete and stop all running processes that access my Hard Disk but still it won't eject successfully. So I ran out of patience and just pulled the plug directly. I know that this method is not good but I have no other choice.

I want to ask your advice on what should I do regarding this problem. Is there any special software that I can buy in order to successfully eject my devices every time?

I have experienced a great problem recently. When I tried to open my pen drive using double click, it shows me Explorer and tells me to select the program to run it.

But I can browse it by pressing right click and then selecting the Explore button. I don’t understand the problem.

I formatted it and it showed me the same problem.

What do I do?

Hi all,

I have an I-Omega external Hard Drive, which I frequently used on desktop and laptop. It started giving me trouble with a warning of running a slow performance as my USB Ports are not up to the mark. The worst, is my systems detected all other external devices and suddenly they stopped detecting my external Hard Drive.

My external Hard Drive is also not showing up in “My Computer” and gives me an error – Disk is not formatted and do you want to format now? I did not dare to click yes, because I have many important data and presentation which I cannot afford to lose. So when I clicked “NO”, I got a message stating it cannot read the drive. Please help.

When I came home after work today and used my computer, my Seagate 100 GB Portable External Hard Drive suddenly got an error that says "Operating System Not Found". I am in a big trouble here because I have a lot of important files on it.

I tried a few troubleshooting steps like rebooting the PC, unplugged plus re-plugged the external HDD and even hooking it up to another computer. Windows 7 is my operating system and nothing has changed. Once the external HDD is unplugged, I can boot it to the operating system. 

Anyone who has a good suggestion please help me.

I have bought a pen drive some days ago. It was working well, better service and high speed. I gave it to one of my friends and after getting it back, I inserted it to the USB port. But the system cannot detect this mini drive. It shows the following message "port is not available for this drive".
