I have a question on using switches. Is it possible to possess a link from one switch to an access point and then rip the network and make it two networks from access points and wired port which I will connect through an RJ45 cable? Can you get the idea? If so, please send me some help. Thanks.

My client has a NETGEAR 24-Port 10/100 Rack mount Switch. And I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of upgrading it to a NETGEAR 48-Port 10/100/1000 Smart PoE Switch? The idea is simplified as: Server>>> NETGEAR 10/100 switch>>> Router>>>Internet. Can I plug the server to the NETGEAR 48/100/1000 Switch and another port will go to internet. Can my clients use the software data against the server so the bandwidth will increase in the server or the ports can only be used for trunking switches or the routers?

I am under a network with two routers with distinct IP address connected together. The first router is used for accessing internet while the other one is used for making VPN connection in other place. What do I need to do to allow a Windows 2000 or Windows XP PC to have access on both locations? That is for the internet and VPN. And also, I need the two gateways to be in a single port. Can someone please help?

I am using a NETGEAR router at home with my desktop PC. My laptop can connect to it through an RJ45 cable wire. And I never had any problems with it for the whole time of using it. When my laptop had a virus, I re-installed my Windows XP but the problem is I cannot connect to the router again. The error is stating that the LAN has been unplugged. Am I missing any software or is there an issue with the router itself? Help please.
