How can I set up Inter-VLANs on a Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series Switches with Inter-VLANs on 3Com SuperStack 3-Switch 4200 Series? I will be using a trunk port for both Cisco Catalyst 3750 and 3Com Superstack 4200 Series. How can I set it up?

For you to set up the VLANs, the following are some of the things that you will need to observe:

·         The kind of VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP) domain name and VTP mode that you will  be using on the switch.

·         The ports on  the switch that every VLAN will have.

Just in case you will want the VLANs to have  a communication between then you will need a routing device that has three layers, and the best device will be an external Cisco router.

·         The WS-X4232-Layer 3 card for Catalyst 4500/4000 and the

·         Multilayer Switch Module (MSM) .

Once you have that, then you can refer to the following site to a step a step guide for setting up the VLANs.
