Microsoft Office
I’m having trouble opening a Word document file through Windows Explorer; it takes time to open it and if I will click the file again it will just froze up and of course I can’t do anything with it but to forced close the file and it will automatically close the Windows Explorer too. But if the file will be open through the Office Word directly, it works as it is. I’m using Office 2007 in my Windows XP Professional SP3 computer with latest versions and updated security program. I already tried to uninstall and re-install the program and run a diagnostic test but there are no existing issues. This happens with my MS Excel as well. Can you please help me fix this?

I purchased a second-hand computer and it has lots of issues. I only got a Windows XP installer with it and I want to reformat the computer and install all the programs needed. Before reformatting, I want to know if there’s a way that I can save the MS Office program on my computer so it can just be re-installed when the PC is already reformatted. Does anyone here have an idea? Please help.

I am doing some updates on my MS Word so I am using WordPad for the meantime.
My computer is somewhat old already and I’m checking for the latest version of MS Office and thinking of installing it.
But I want to know first if it’s possible to secure MS Office 2007 files?
Can I just used it for reading purposes only and put some encryption so unauthorized person cannot have access on opening and reading my files?
If so, please send me steps on how to do it.
Thank you.

I am having a hard time changing the association settings on my Windows Vista computer with MS Office 2007 installed on it. Before, no Word document file was being associated with any programs but right now it just suddenly associates itself to other programs such as Adobe and Media Center.
Word documents works normally as it suppose to be when I tried to check and does a test file on the Word application. All emails cannot be opened in Word but it does in Media Center. I tried my best to change the settings for associations but the computer won’t do it. It does not include Word in the list of file associations. When I tried to browse the link for other programs it has WinWord, I clicked it and a program box will pop up but the window will instantly disappear.

I’m using MS Office 2010, and I’m trying to open some downloaded items but I can’t open it in any formats at all. I tried to open the files that I’m able to open before with MS Office 2010 but I could not open it now. I only get error messages depending on the program I’m trying to open. Some error messages are: there is a problem with the contents, file may be in use by another application, or file may be corrupted. Can you please help me to fix this?

I don’t have an idea what is causing the issue in our emails. We are using Exchange 2003 server with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 that is already configured. The issue is if we receive an email from a company that sends logo as their signature, the receiver gets an Outlook authentication box if the said email will be opened. In Outlook 2007, the forwarded attachment won’t show and has a red x to where the logo appears. Can you please help me figure out what is the probable cause of this problem?
