Each time I try to install drivers for Soundcard PCI on my laptop it says nothing has been installed. It seems the hardware cannot be recognized since the wizard could not find the appropriate software. What is this all about and how can I solve such a problem?

I have tried switching on my PC but the monitor is blank. The Hard Disk functions well and all connections are properly connected. I guess the monitor is good because it shows an orange light. However, it is still blank. What is the problem and how do I fix such?
