Hallo,

There are two connections in my motherboard: a blue IDE connection and a black IDE connection. Which one can I use to set up a single drive?

Thanks

Hi Josie,

The IDE cable has three color coded connectors, black and blue as you mentioned and then the gray one. The black connector is for the Master drive while the gray connector is for the Slave Drive. Since you have one Drive, you only need to use black. The blue connector then goes to the Motherboard or IDE controller card. Hope this helps.
