Hi,

I just performed a preventive maintenance on my PC. I removed all the dust inside my CPU casing including unplugging of my memory card, HDD and processor w/ heat sink. After I finish performing PM, when I turn on my computer, it would not continue to load with windows. Suddenly during loading the CPU turns off automatically.

After turning it on again after the BIOS screen pops up the CPU turns off automatically again. Also I tried to perform a power cycle by turning off the power in the avr, but when turning on my monitor now goes on standby with no beep sound. Also after several tries again CPU turns on ,but after BIOS screen it automatically turns OFF with no power on CPU.

Step in solving the problem is highly appreciated needed.

I am unable to use almost any program in my computer. Whenever I try to run the program a hard disk error occurred stating that my hard disk is doing some thing wrong with the program

The actual error appear is

Windows detected a hard drive problem.

A hard drive error occurred while starting the application.

I am unable to take backup as even normal pc operation becomes impossible on that computer. I have very important data on that pc so I want to save it before proceeding for installation of os or something else.

My motherboard is INTEL Desktop D865PERL and my video card is GeForce 5200FX.

Guys I really need your attentions!

This problem started when I finished installing the Yahoo Messenger. When the installation finish the icons are being changed?!

When I restart the computer the icon still the same in format. I uninstalled the Yahoo Messenger still the icons remain invalid as you have seen the image above. When I open the icon it normally functions only the icon has been changed in format.

Guys can you help me how the icons be back in normal format? It only seen as a box.

Whenever I open my desktop computer the notepad automatically opens with a message like this:

LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%system32shell32.dll,-21787

I don't understand a single word or characters from this error. Though it doesn't seem to cause any more problems, I just find it disturbing that every time I opened my computer this will always appear and that I have to just close it. I want to know how to stop this error from appearing. But first of all, I want to know what is causing this error to trigger every time I boot up.

To all the experts, I hope you can help me to get rid of the frustrating situation. I have got a 160GB Maxtor hard drive. Pc performance gets slow recently and I tried to clean up by using the Maxtor software tool an error was found in one of the drive. Then I delete the partition by using Easeus Partition manager. But the problem is it appeared again after restarting the computer. I repeat the process for couple of times but can’t fix it. Is it damaged? Have you ever experienced such type of problem? I believe there must be a solution behind every problem. Please tell me what will I have to do?

My old CRT monitor automatically turns off, when booting windows 7. But when I'm using an older version of Windows, my monitor is working properly.

I have some question regarding Machine Cycle. About the machine cycle all I know is a machine cycle is the time it takes a microprocessor to fetch and execute a complete instruction or not. Is it true? Please define Machine Cycle. What are the characteristics of machine cycle and classification of the machine cycle. It will be really helpful.
