Hi,

I tried fixing my friend’s iPod Nano that does not turn on unless it is plugged in. I realized the problem was that the click wheel doesn't respond to any button presses.

So, after a minute the screen goes black due to inactivity. I tried a forced reset by pressing the buttons/click wheel in every possible combination but I still get no response. I plugged the device into the pc and did a restore through iTunes but the click wheel is still dead. 

I'm willing to open the device and test the inside hardware if that's necessary. I am not experienced doing that aside from replacing a few broken screens and dead batteries on iPhone 3G devices. 

Any insight or advice is appreciated.

After creating a backup in iTunes I tried to update my GSM iPhone 4 from iOS 401 to 5.0.1 and it crashed during the update. iTunes says it detects the phone but can only do an restore and update to fix it.

The current problem is I told iTunes to do the restore and get 5.0.1 installed but this message came up: “The iPhone could not be restore. An unknown error occurred (3194).”

APowerMac G$ (Digital Audio) and the hard drive was formatted and it will not start up and is just showing “?”. I get stuck when I go to the OF screen via “com-z” keys. Is there a way to restore the OS where I do have to buy a set of OS install disk? Two “Install files “ were download but it failed.

I do not know how to ‘run-cd’ OF command line. Do you have any tips I can sue to resolve this?

The sound on my iPhone 4S only work when my phone is locked. Most of the time I have no sound. Nothing works and the volume button does not indicate a sound bar increase when I press either one.

My iPhone 3GS is slow after updating to iOS 5. Graphic and starting apps are slow. Start time takes 10-15 seconds on some apps. Restarting the iPhone did not help. Can this be fixed as it seems as though the processor is not the same as the new 4S.

Please advice.

I have problems powering up my MAC G5. I ensured to check the cord continuity and the power from the wall. They were both good. However, when I turn on the button at the front of the box it does not work. Is it that the problem is a fried power supply of the switch? Can someone help me troubleshoot using a multimeter.

My iPhone 4 was updated to iOS5.0.1 and overnight the battery was drained by 40%. This was 7hrs while I was sleeping. Note that 3G was on and all my apps were closed. In the morning I charged the battery and again by lunch time 60% was used up. I answered a few calls.

I did not use the internet, and my 3G was on. I observed the battery lasted longer when I had iOS5. I now regret the update I did. Please provide a simple solution.
