Hello Experts,

APowerMac G$ (Digital Audio) and the hard drive was formatted and it will not start up and is just showing “?”. I get stuck when I go to the OF screen via “com-z” keys. Is there a way to restore the OS where I do have to buy a set of OS install disk? Two “Install files “ were download but it failed.

I do not know how to ‘run-cd’ OF command line. Do you have any tips I can sue to resolve this?

It would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi

I will help you to get your Mac running. You have formatted your hard drive. There is no OS in its Startup Disk, so it won't boot and show a '?' icon at boot. You have to install a new OS into it to make it work. If you the Mac OS X Install Disk, then install it and if you do not have the disks, then take it to the nearest AppleCare.

The ? indicated that Mac is unable to find the software to boot the systemn (OS in this case). Yes you need to reinstall either with the installation disk or through Apple services.
