I can't download or install updates or the system restore. I need help for the system restore to come back as I cannot restore. The updates are the same. It is not updating. Please help.

I am really interested in creating my own personalized Windows Event Log Notification System. I read about that in a forum in a website and all I can see is, of how happy they are about it. But it does not say on the forum, how to do that.

I tried asking how to create and personalize a Log Notification System but I could not find the right answers. All the steps they posted did not work.

I hope someone here can give me a proper walk through. I would really appreciate it.

Whenever I login into Thunderbird first of all it takes a lot of time to download my emails and once all the emails are downloaded, the mails which were read before also show that they are unread. It takes a lot of effort to figure out which emails are already read before. Please advice as this is an ongoing problem since I am using Thunderbird.

I am using Sony DVD writer870S. But while Burning a DVD I am facing some problems of 

Uneven Burning & there are Shaded Rings visible on the DVD. However, from the same DVD writer I burn the DVD very fine. 

I have recently changed my motherboard also.

I have oracle 9i DB installed, is it possible to make a batch file scripts utility which first creates a user then imports dump file and then gives grants. With the help of this utility it is possible to switch within no time from primary db server to secondary server within no time. This utility can be helpful in such DB server environment which has got a backup or secondary server .

I am working on Windows Vista Ultimate machine. While trying to play one of the videos in my video layer, I am getting the above error message. I did not make any software or hardware changes.

Does anyone have any idea of why this error message pops up?
