I can’t figure out what base system device stone is.

I just bought a laptop and it's dell latitude D800. Upon opening it there this base system device stone hardware. I don't actually know what it means. Can anyone tell me what is it for?

Hello Cooper,

If there is any hardware component or software that appears strange to you on the computer that you just purchased, then there might be an extensive explanation of what it is supposed to do in the manual that came with it. Or you can as well just contact the supplier that sold you the laptop for clarification.
