I was thinking of using windows 8 release preview rearm, to give me a bit longer on my operating system, but how do I use it? Does it give me another 30 days, and if I purchase windows 8 do I have to reinstall my operating system again totally? Will I lose all my documents in My Documents?

Whenever you reinstall or upgrade an Operating system it will have to wipe out everything you have on the computer however, you can avoid this by creating partition on the hard drive and save your settings and files on the new partition, make sure that when you reinstall your Operating system it will not touch the new partition. You can rearm your Windows 8 three times, and it can extend your trial version for 90 days for free. To extend Open an elevated command prompt and then type slmgr /rearm and then on the prompt just click ok.
