I forgot my password to my phone!

I have completely forgotten my password and I am so afraid to do another attempt in fear I will lock myself out. Is there anything I can do (short of just remembering the password!) so that I do not lock the phone? What will happen if I do lock the phone?  I am worried I will not be able to access it! Thank you.

I forgot my password to my phone!

Hello,

If you’ve forgot password of your phone, you’re good to try for several times. If not succeeded, then you can have the option of entering PIN number.

Android is highly focused on security and so, if you provide wrong password, you can’t login. If you keep on inputting wrong password again and again, it’ll ask you to provide the PIN number you entered or block you permanently.

The only way to use your phone again is through Factory Reset. This will erase your all personal data, but that’s the only way.

To do this,

1. Press and hold “Power” button and select “Power off”.

2. Press and hold “Volume up + Home + Power” button to boot into debugging mode.

3. Then, use “Volume up” and “Volume down” button to select the “Factory reset” >> hold “Power” button.

Now, wait until your phone gets reset.

You can also contact with any experienced service provider for help.
