Trouble in installing software in Windows

Why is it that I get an error every time that I try to install software that has not passed the Windows Logo testing?

I attached below the message notification.

How safe is the software to the system?

Can I bypass this error message?

Can anyone help me in this?

Trouble in installing software in Windows

Window logo testing is Microsoft testing for software's to see whether it is secure and compatible or not.

Those software's that have not passed this testing means it might not work properly on windows or the window might stop working with this installation.

This is a warning message and you cannot bypass it.

I also strongly recommend that you do not try to bypass this message as it will give you some idea whether the software you are installing is compatible or not.

Trouble in installing software in Windows

Hi Amanda Wissler,

The problem could be that you installed an update fix that is described as a security fix by windows update. Some buffer activities could be triggering this error code while you are installing certain software's.

If you trust that the software is not harmful to your computer, then do the following:

You need to remove the security patch KB823559, restart your computer, install your software and then remember to re-install back the security update.

The steps to do all this are as described below;

• Close all open programs and then click on start then control panel.
• Go to add or remove programs then change or remove programs.
• Look for Windows XP Hotfix – KB823559 in the currently installed programs category then click on remove and restart your computer.
• After restarting, install your program and then reinstall the KB823559 security patch.
• You can do this through windows update or by going to Microsoft Download Center and search for the update.
