I have to install the Brother driver suite for my PC. What are the steps to do so? I keep getting the Brother error is026 during installation. Can someone help me solve this problem?

There are two solutions to your problem.

Are you certain that you have downloaded the right version and type of brother driver suite for your computer? Please check the system compatibilities of the software. Make it a habit to download such software from trustworthy sources or official websites.

Secondly, once you are certain that you have the correct setup file for the software, ensure that you run the right file (Setup.exe) on your computer. Locate this file on your computer and ascertainthat the software version has not been corrupted.

The driver for Brother printers support Microsoft Windows but that doesn’t mean it can be installed on all versions of the operating system. It doesn’t work that way. Before you install a driver for a Brother printer, you need to check if it is compatible with your computer. Consult the manual that comes with your printer for its system requirements.

The usual problem when the installation of a printer’s software fails is compatibility. Most of the time the software is not compatible with the operating system and sometimes a required component is missing which you simply need to install. If you need to install the PC software of your Brother printer but you no longer have the setup CD, head down to Brother Support & Downloads.

Here, search for your printer to download the driver. To search, you can enter the model number of your printer in the search field.
