Sending of error message failed.

Hello,

My email application Thunderbird has encountered a problem.

While sending a message I received an error message.

The screenshot of the error message is as under. Is a problem with the server?

Have you any idea?

Please help me.

Sending of error message failed.

The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server timed out. Try again or contact network administrator.

Sending of error message failed.

Hello Glenda,

If you receive this error you need to check your SMTP settings first, If you are using port 465 without SSL then this error occurred. Go to email client settings. To receive or send email through this service you need to check following settings.

Username and Password – you user name must be you full email address and chose the password when you create the email account.

Incoming and outgoing server name – your server names must mail.yourdomain.com.

Hi Glenda!

Regarding your concern, I think your password might have been corrupted that's why would not go through. To resolve this you may try the following troubleshooting steps below:

1. Click Tools

2. Choose Options

3. Under Options, Choose Security Tabs

4. Then Saved Password(you must remove the password for the SMTP server).

This should do the trick. If you are lucky enough, the next message that will be sent will be prompted for the password and supposedly you could already access it by then already again.
