Psion Uninstall has encountered problems

Hi,

I got the following error message when I tried to uninstall PsiWin via the Add/Remove Programs window in Control Panel. It is very annoying to me and trying to fix this issue but can’t solve this problem. I need your help to fix this window error. Can you please tell me the cause of this issue?  Thanks for help.

UnInstall Shield has detected

Uninstall:

uninstall Shield has detected that ‘D:Program FilesPsionPsiWinpsconsv.exe’ is in use.

Please close the application using this file and launch uninstall Shield again.

Wayne J Olive, I read your problem you are having while uninstalling PsiWin via the Control Panel .This error is indicating that the connection program is still running.
Please follow the instructions.
 
1. In the Notification Area Right-click the PsiWin connection icon,
2. Select "Close" From the context-menu ,
3. From the Notification Area the icon will disappear, now you can Uninstall the program from the control panel.

That error is normal and it can happen when you uninstall an application that is currently running. If you see this error but you don’t see the program running on your screen, it is maybe because the detected program is running in the background. If the program has a service running, you need to terminate it first before you can uninstall it.

You can terminate the program from the Task Manager. To do this, press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to bring up the Task Manager. In “Windows Task Manager”, go to “Processes” tab then scroll down and look for “psconsv.exe”. Select it then click “End Process” and then click “End process” again to confirm the action.

After this, you may now uninstall it from the Control Panel or use Revo Uninstaller for a cleaner uninstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select the program you want to uninstall among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo Uninstaller then restart the computer.
