Hi,

While installing apps_unzip_first_2.6.2.zip on Joomla 2.5x using upload package tools I received an error message.

It is indicating about the invalid URL. I do not know the reason behind it.

If you have any idea for the issue, please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
There will be a problem of version compatibility. Please make sure your path to temp folder is correct in all files. If these are same and correct then you need to install it manually. Extract files to the local directory and upload these and then install them I am sure it will resolve your issue. Thank you

Hi there Alanjayason,

Looks like something on your web hosting server is not compatible with the Joomla version you are using.

First thing you should do is to check if your tmp folder path is valid. To do so, you will need to connect to your site using the FTP manager. Once you're connected, find the file named configure.php and open it. It would be great to do the backup of a file before doing any changes.
In the configure.php you will see several lines starting with  public $ftp. Check the values and remove any extra slashes at the end of paths. That should solve the problem.

In case you still can't install the addon, you can always do it manually. Unpack the package on your local drive and using the FTP client upload the unpacked folder to the Joomla tmp folder. When they're up, install them using the install manager in your Joomla backend.

Best regards,
